Streetwear has made a significant impact on men's fashion in Copenhagen. It is not just about athletic-inspired clothing but a fusion of casual and formal attire, with a focus on comfort and individual expression. The city's designers have embraced this trend, creating pieces that effortlessly blend streetwear elements with classic tailoring.
The Influence of Fashion Week
Copenhagen Fashion Week has become a prominent event on the global fashion calendar. While women's fashion has often dominated the runway, there has been a growing focus on men's fashion during these events. It has provided a platform for local designers and brands to showcase their talents to a broader audience.
Copenhagen is gradually becoming a significant player in men's fashion, thanks to its unique blend of minimalist design, sustainability, and innovative brands. The city's fashion scene resonates with the principles of comfort, versatility, and eco-consciousness, catering to the modern man who seeks to balance style with ethics.
As Copenhagen continues to evolve as a fashion hub, it's clear that the city's sartorial influence will only grow. In the world of men's fashion, Copenhagen's unique take on style is undoubtedly worth watching, and it has the potential to become a global leader in the years to come. So, while it may not yet be the undisputed fashion capital of the world, Copenhagen is making its stylish mark, and its influence is on the rise.

]]>My name is Adam Winberg and I am a trained drummer from the Fynske Musikkonservatorium. I have spent the last several years playing concerts both domestically and abroad with a plethora of soloists and bands, recording albums, and contributing to the musical compositions of the bands I am involved with.
Music has always been an integral part of my life, as I grew up in a household filled with it. Both my parents and my younger brother are also musicians, so I suppose it was inevitable that I would follow in their footsteps. I can vividly recall my first experience with a drum set at the young age of three. It belonged to the drummer in my father's band who would later go on to play with Kim Larsen and Kjukken. The feeling of sitting behind the set was pure magic, a combination of intrigue and childish joy that still resonates with me to this day.
Although I am a transplant, I have called Copenhagen home for nearly 20 years now. To me, there is no place quite like this city, especially on a beautiful summer day. I adore our capital, and thanks to my profession, I have had the privilege of seeing and playing in nearly every corner of this wondrous place.
I found a passion for curiosity and inclusion within the music scene in Copenhagen. Suddenly, there were opportunities to perform shoegaze and noise rock at Nørrebro's legendary rock club, play jazz concerts at Christiania, jam to blues jams at Mojo, perform psychedelic music at Vega, and of course, take advantage of the city's vibrant music scene.
My daily routine varies from week to week, but one thing remains constant - I always start my day with a cup of coffee. Afterwards, I go for a run to clear my head and get my body moving. Then, I sit down behind my drum kit and practice. This routine is what keeps me grounded and focused on my passion for music.
Working in the music industry is not your typical 9-to-5 job. Every week is unique, filled with rehearsals, studio recordings, office work, and preparation for upcoming gigs. More often than not, I work anywhere from 60 to 70 hours a week. It can be tough, and it requires a lot of effort to make ends meet. But the feeling of sitting behind a drum set is indescribable. It's like a rush of adrenaline that can lift my spirits and make me feel alive!
Playing the drums transports me to a different world, where time and space cease to exist. It's a drug and a high that's hard to shake off. The fact that I get paid to do what I love and have people applaud me for it is simply amazing. It's not every day that you get to make a living doing what you're passionate about, and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do so.
Why did you start Clean Cut Copenhagen?
I wanted to make a classic Scandinavian menswear brand where simplicity, comfort, good quality and simple details could come together to create a man’s new favorite styles. The collections all include a broad choice of basics whilst having a Scandinavian fashion look to them. Many men have their favorite items in their wardrobe and keep repurchasing the same styles again and again without much change. I wanted to create an even broader collection of favorites, and I wanted to challenge these habits of the comfortable man at the same time.
It was the wish to start a brand where the man can feel safe in his choices.
I come from the retail world, where I’ve experienced many brands that didn’t think of delivering the right products at the right time. It has become a special focus for me to ensure the best sell-through and profit for the retailers.
My goal was to create a brand that didn’t just think of the costumer in the end, but also had its mind on the retailers.
What and who are you inspired by?
I get inspired by the everyday life and the people I see daily. I’m so lucky to be living in the heart of Copenhagen and I therefore use the city to gather inspiration; from the people in restaurants, in the shops, at concerts, or I’ll get inspired from walks around the city. There are trends and inspiration to gather from everywhere, and it’s interesting to see what people are actually wearing. Often the best kind of inspiration is right in front of you. I generally get inspired by music, culture, sport – all the things I like.
I’m also keeping up with trends and tendencies on social media, and I keep my eyes open for what other brands are inspired by both in Denmark and internationally.
Do you have a favorite designer?
We have brilliant designers here and they inspire me, but a part from that I don’t have a favorite designer.
5 quick ones:
What is your favorite drink? Gin & Tonic
What is your hobby? I love running as it makes my mind peaceful, and I especially love Ultra Running. My latest run was in the Alps around Salzburg. I also love to play golf with my buddies.
Where was your last holiday? In a summer house on a remote island in the south of Sweden.
Which perfume do you use? Tom Ford – Ombre Leather
What is your favorite restaurant in Copenhagen? Lalala at Christianshavn. It’s a delicious, simple restaurant. The food is amazing, but I also come for vibe and the overall experience; good service, good atmosphere, good food.
Thanks for your time Christian!

We know coffee isn't the newest kid on the block, but coffee lovers keep discovering ways to perfect the good old cup of joe, and we like that.
Coffee is being produced in more than 70 countries, with Brazil ranking highest on the list as the country with the largest export. 40% of all the coffee consumed around the world comes from Brazil. The first coffee bush planted in Brazil was in 1727, and therefore coffee is not native to the country. The coffee bean can be traced back centuries to the ancient coffee forest of Ethiopia. Historically, coffee was not only used for drinking, but also to increase concentration during prayers in ancient Yemen. Another historical feature is that practitioners of Islamic medicine fought for coffee not to be considered haram (forbidden) but argued for its benefits. Refining and roasting the bean was first done in the 15th century.
Enjoying a steaming cup of coffee in the morning is one of life's simple pleasures! But did you know that three unique processes go into producing your favorite cup?
1. The dry process involves simply letting nature take its course - drying out the beans and filling them with flavor.
2. In the wet process, water is used to wash the skin and pulp off the fruit of the coffee cherry. The coffee cherries are then placed in large vats of water to separate the defective beans (those with less density which float on top). At this point, the sticky-sweet layer of mucilage is still on the bean
3. Last but not least, the semi-washed hybrid method. After picking, the coffee is depulped and then briefly dried to a moisture content of 30-35 percent (instead of the usual 11-12 percent). The coffee is then hulled; removing the parchment and completely exposing the coffee bean as when it is ready to be roasted.
Then these little beans are packed up ready for export around the world, so we can enjoy their full-flavored joy. Next time you savor a freshly brewed cup of java, don't forget about how much effort went behind creating it first.
Where to enjoy a good cup of coffee when you are in Copenhagen
Here at Clean Cut Copenhagen, we all have our favorite cup of coffee, and it can be hard to choose between the different roasts. A light roast has milder taste and it’s less acidic, whereas a dark roast works great for an intense espresso with its deep and bold flavor.
Whether you prefer your coffee iced or steaming hot, Arabica coffee is a safe choice. It’s the most popular types of coffee beans and they are known for having a sweet and fruity flavor although their acidity is higher. Coffee made from Robusta beans on the other hand has a deeper and more intense taste and it produces a fine crema. Robusta coffee also has a higher amount of caffeine, so it works great on those long days at the office.
Want to know where we get our caffeine fix? We’re based in Copenhagen, so we’ve made a list of our favorite coffee shops for you, if you’re planning on visiting the city or if you’re based in Copenhagen like us.
Prolog
“To celebrate our love for coffee, we celebrate you” is the motto of this physically small but big player in the coffee game. Prolog is situated in the trendy meatpacking district, where you can enjoy a cup of quality coffee inside the small and cosy café or outside to enjoy the liveliness of the area.
Prolog is invested in sustainability and transparency in the coffee industry, and you’re sure to get a green cup of coffee here.
Høkerboderne 16, 1712 Copenhagen V
Coffee Collective
A popular franchise known for its high quality of coffee and has won many prizes for their products. The café can be in eight locations around the city of Copenhagen, and each spot is recognized by its beautiful interior, Danish design classic, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee.
The well-known Coffee Collective bags of either milled or whole beans can be bought in their store or all around the globe in independent coffee shops. So, whether you’re in Japan or Spain, you can grab a cup of their iconic blends.
While you’re there, try their various pastries depending on the season.
Darcy’s Coffee
If you’re looking for an independent coffee place and want to avoid the franchises, then Darcy is a perfect option. Located in what Time Out has elected as the world’s best neighborhood, Nørrebro, in a cute corner shop, is Darcy Coffee.
It started with the owner’s selling coffee at a folding table on the street and now it’s known as one of the places you can get the best cup of coffee in Nørrebro.
Rantzausgade 2, 2200 Copenhagen N
Rist Kaffebar
Another small but iconic coffee place is Rist, located in cool Vesterbro – a neighbourhood known for quality and specialty shops.
Rist has existed for more than a decade and is still a popular destination for locals to grab a coffee and a pastry. But you have to be lucky to get a seat, as the café is small and well liked.
Here they serve Coffee Collective’s famous roasted coffee, so you’re sure to get a cup of high quality.

]]>Got a few days to spare?
Let us tell you how to spend them. Europe is booming with cool capitals, beautiful coastal cities, and cultural metropolitans. How do you even choose between the many places this little continent has to offer? No worries, we’ve got you covered with our list of recommendations for the perfect extended weekend get-away spots. Where to eat, where to go and what to see.
NICE
A city that is very popular during the summer season, but also a place that has a lot to offer any other month of the year. The capitol of the French Riviera is more than just a place to swim and eat ice cream in the sun, it has many cultural activities, top restaurants, and shopping options to offer.
The artist Henri Matisse used to live in the city, and the museum Musée Matisse honors his former presence with interesting exhibitions inside a beautiful old villa just outside the city.
If you prefer to spend your time eating your way through the city, there are many options for that too. Nice offers both Michelin-starred restaurants such as Jan and more down-to-earth bistros where the food is still top tier such as Le Bistrot d’Antoine with classic southern French bites.
Another activity that seems popular in this beautiful coastal city is shopping, and no matter where you go in the city, you’ll be met with shops offering anything the heart could desire. Walk down Avenue Jean Medecin and bask in all the nice shops – pun intended.
BERLIN
With its rich history and world-famous landmarks, it’s an obvious place to visit. And Berlin has everything to offer. An underground scene not seen in many other European cities, a broad span of restaurants with food from all over the world, museums in abundance etc.
One of our recommendations for a weekend in Berlin is to just walk around the different neighborhoods; visit the hybrid café-kiosks where you can enjoy a beer with the locals outside, shop in the small, curated shops with handcrafted goods, or enjoy one of the many parks around the city.
A museum that is worth visiting is the Berlin Story Bunker, a museum about the Second World War, which is located inside a bunker. It’s a surreal experience walking around inside a bunker, reading about the war that was the reason for that very bunker to be build. It’s a tough but meaningful visit. Another place to visit is the The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europé, better known as the Holocaust Memorial by most Berliners. Opened in May 2005, the memorial in Berlin-Mitte is located near the Brandenburg Gate and is one of the city's most impressive sights.
Berlin is also known for being able to cater to your every food craving. Every cuisine is represented somewhere within the city, so it can be hard narrowing the endless list of good restaurants down to a few recommendations. But we tried and our recommendation lands on Buya Ramen Factory or Kimchi Princess in Kreuzberg. It’s 2 cool, spacious restaurants with ramen that tastes like it’s made in heaven.
BUDAPEST
Many years ago, Buda and Pest were two separate cities on either side of the Danube River, but in 1873 the two cities merged into what we today know as Budapest. A capital known for its rich culture and history, stunning and old architecture, and its many many spas. Enjoy a day at the Széchenyi Thermal Bath, where you can go for a swim in the large outdoor basin, relax in a bubble bath, or enjoy one of the many saunas. We can’t think of a better way to relax and enjoy another country’s culture.
One of the biggest appeals about Budapest is the restaurant scene. You can feast on Michelin dishes for a fraction of the price of what you pay at home.
As of right now there are seven Michelin Start restaurants in Budapest, and one of them is Salt, also called the ‘Noma of Budapest’, where we recommend their tasting menu.
If you’re in the mood for something less fancy and more local, how about visiting Karavan Street Food – a pedestrian passage turned into an outdoor food court. Here you can enjoy anything from burgers to traditional Hungarian dishes.
PRAGUE
Known as the city of a thousand spires or the golden city, Prague is the capitol of the Czech Republic. The city is visited by many tourists every year, as the city is cheaper than most European capitals, it has an interesting history, and the architecture is simply breathtaking.
Prague is divided into two major neighborhoods: Staré Mesto (old town) and Malá Strana (lesser town). If you’re going for the traditional and historic vibes with cobblestone streets, then old town is for you. Walk around this area in your own pace or perhaps book a guided tour, so you won’t miss out on any of those interesting history facts.
While you’re in old town you should head to Bistro Monk for a delicious salad and a coffee, or maybe you’re in the mood for the Indian cuisine? Then you should go to either Sangham or Indian Jewel, where their naan and curries are to die for! Finish off the day by having a drink at Pivovarsky dum Benedict, where you’ll be served drafted beers in cosy surroundings. If you’re travelling with your family or just prefer to stay in a quieter and less-crowded area, then opt for Hradcany – the castle district – named for its many castles and the beautiful view from the top of the hill that it’s situated on.
And you can’t leave Prague without having seen the 14th-century Charles Bridge connecting the two parts of town. This historical city is booming with must-see things, but the Charles Bridge is our favorite. There are several restaurants located around the bank of the Vltava River, from which you can enjoy the view of the bridge while dining.
WARSAW
Modern buildings, historic sites, outdoor spaces, museums, and an overflow of good places to eat and drink – what else could you want? The capital of Poland has been nicknamed The Phoenix, as the city was mostly destroyed after WW2 but has now risen from the ashes and stands strong and beautiful.
Visit Warsaw in the spring or autumn to avoid the crowds or go there during the summer where it reaches a good sightseeing temperature for exploring what the city has to offer.
One of the many things to see in the city is the elegant Nowy Świat Street, where you can grab a cup of coffee on the go. As you stroll around the city center, you’ll stumble upon many beautiful churches and historic monuments. Many of the buildings around you have been rebuild after the war, to look the way they did before their demolition.
No trip to Poland is complete without understanding the country’s history. We recommend visiting the Warsaw Rising Museum and the POLIN Museum. You can book a private guided tour, to really understand Warsaw’s communist history.
On a lighter note, it’s time to grab something to eat. Are you into fine dining try either the ELIXIR Restaurant or Stolica – both restaurants that will serve you modernized Polish dishes. For a quick lunch head to Croque Madame, and make sure not to miss out on Café Bristol. We love Warsaw and we’re sure you will too!

International Suit Up Day was introduced after Barney Stinson in the TV series 'How I Met Your Mother' always wore a suit. He even has a silk pajama suit. The day is celebrated on October 13 every year and is recognized all over the world. It is celebrated by both men and women walking around in a suit. Barney's motto, which makes International Suit Up Day celebrated and noticed on the same date every year, is precisely: Suit up!
We at Clean Cut Copenhagen (picture) follow Barney's example and hope you do too. Wherever you are on this day, we ask you to put on a suit and wear it during the day.
If you haven't seen How I Met Your Mother, we also recommend that you watch at least one episode of that series to understand what it's all about. And if you're looking and wondering who Barney is, well, it's the guy in the suit.
The Clean Cut Copenhagen suits are often with comfortable stretch, 2 buttons and single vent. A favorite is the Milano jersey suit (stretch, 2 buttons and single vent). Combine your Milano jersey suit with any color, such as a navy blazer with grey pants or a complete navy set. To top the Milano jersey suit, add a waistcoat. All other suits you choose blazer + pants in same fabric.
Get a suit and look great all day, every day!
]]>Whether it’s because of the soft, jersey fabric that makes it feel like you’re wearing sweatpants whilst it looks like you’re in a suit, or because of the fit that is the perfect balance between casual and formal, we don’t know. But what we do know is that the Milano Jersey pants are our best-selling piece year by year.
A pair of pants that looks this stylish and business-like shouldn’t be able to be this comfortable but trust us – they are. Whether you go for a classic look with a black pair or if you choose a light grey for a more casual look, you’ll be surprised with the flattering fit and the casual feeling of the pants.
Style the Milano pants with a fresh shirt as Sälen Tencel 196 for a relaxed and easy-going look. Let the plaids give you a weekend-feeling any day of the week and feel comfortable and stylish with this combination of some of our favorite pieces.
And when you want to make an entrance in style, combine the Milano jersey pant with our Milano jersey blazer. Voilà, and you are the king of the floor…

You can eat your way through Copenhagen in all price ranges, different cultures, styles and of course as a meat lover, vegetarian and vegan. Here at Clean Cut Copenhagen, we take it for granted to try new places all the time, while keeping our favorite restaurant loyal.
If you are a group, large and small, with different tastes and wishes, here are some cool places to enjoy culinary food, and some of our favorites, which we are happy to recommend:
Located on Refshaleøen, close to the water, is one of Copenhagen's most popular street food areas. Reffen street food is a perfect place to eat, drink, socialize and have a good time. As they themselves say: an urban playground for co-creation, innovation, food, creativity and not least the Nordic region's largest street eatery. Street food at its best. Very worth a visit.
Address: Refshalevej 167 Unit A, 1432 København
Banegaarden is a small place located in an old train deposit in the middle of the city on the old railway terrain. Between wild nature and train tracks are nine wooden barns from 1909. For decades they have been lying and resting. Until now...
Banegaarden is an organic street food that serves food from several world cuisines. Common to all food stalls are high quality, organic ingredients and something on the heart. Very cozy.
Address: Otto Busses Vej 45a, 2450 København
Ice skating! Okay, not all year round but during the winter season it is possible to rent skates and test your skills. If you are not an ice skater, you can enjoy good street food the rest of the year. Sit down at a long table, try reputable Copenhagen street food restaurants where quality, good ingredients and taste experiences are at the center. Nice atmosphere with vibes of Copenhagen, good food and good drinks. Broens Gadekøkken is connected by a bridge to Nyhavn, which makes it easy to get here.
Address: Strandgade 95, 1401 København
2 large dining halls with everything you could wish, and a food market in the middle. With more than 115,000 visitors per week, this is a very popular food market. Located near Nørreport station and city center. Enjoy Funky Tuesday, Sparkling Wednesday or Thirsty Thursday. Small cool events every week. And if you are hungry, you can eat in or take out. Choose from everything from pizza to oysters! Enjoy!
Address: Frederiksborggade 21, 1362 København
