How to tie a tie
The history of the tie goes all the way back to the 17th century, when the Thirty Years' War was going on.
The French hired Croatian mercenaries who wore traditionally tied neckerchiefs as part of their uniform. This knot helped to keep the uniform in place and was more practical than stiff collars.
Throughout time, the tie has been considered noble, and it has become a symbol of social status, tradition, a transition from child to adult, and masculine sexuality.
In the 1960s the tie had received a negative judgment as a symbol of the dominant elite, while in 1980 the tie was back to its former positive symbol of economic success and power.
We believe that every man should have a nice tie in his wardrobe, and of course know how to tie a tie... Do you know how to tie a tie?
